I'm never sure how much to believe online reviews, but yes these guys are genuinely knowledgeable, competent, and efficient. They're a new firm with highly experienced technicians and they deserve to go from strength to strength.

The back story: my Mitsubishi had developed a DPF fault in 2022, so I took it to a local garage in Cambridge, which claimed to be "one of the leading garages in DPF diagnosis and cleaning". They failed to find the underlying fault and blamed all the short journeys I was doing, which was odd, because I do almost exclusively the sort of long journey that is ideal for passive DPF regeneration. Anyway, they cleaned the DPF, which wasn't cheap, and a year later the DPF service light was back on. Again this "leading garage in DPF diagnosis" failed to find the underlying fault and as it was "bound just to happen again and again" they wanted to remove the DPF altogether and remap it out of the system. (That would be "100% effective"; it would also be 100% irresponsible and illegal to drive in the UK. A missing DPF is an automatic MOT failure and £1000 fine, plus the even higher cost of DPF replacement if you ever want to drive the car again.) I made a polite and rapid exit.

Contrast that with Drive Green, where Dave quickly got to the root of the problem and fitted a new boost hose as soon as the part came in the next day. Another very happy customer. Life's so much better when people know their stuff.

Of course Drive Green don't just do DPFs. Finding a good garage is a bit like finding a good dentist: you're prepared to travel, and that's what I shall be doing in future.
